North Country Ride is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that offers therapeutic equine assisted activities to persons of all disabilities and at-risk youth. We have been in operation since 1982, and operate out of our farm located in Esko, MN. Our program is seasonal, with the riding season running from mid-April to mid-October, with only administrative activities occurring during the off season.

Primary Duties:

A brief summary of the job responsibilities are: Lead and oversee all areas of program operation and development for North Country Ride. ensure compliance with applicable laws,regulations and path , international requirements. Oversee and administer employee and volunteer staffing. Oversee effective handling of equine resources supplies and equipment. Administer financial record keeping and compliance. Develop and maintain positive relationships with the community NCR serves including clients volunteers donors and community representatives. Work in partnership with ncrs board of directors to develop and carry out Ncrs mission

Requirements of the job include a four year college degree or commensurate years of practical experience in nonprofit leadership. Previous experience in managing/supervising personnel. Administrative experience that includes board development, grant writing, donor development and event management. Well developed leadership skills and very strong communication skills, organizational and problem solving skills are essential. Must have proficient computer skills. Experience or knowledge of equine therapy is not necessary but desirable. Our program is seasonal, our riding season operates from mid-April through mid-October. This will be a full time position (40 hours/ week) during the six month riding season and part-time (20 hours/week) during the off season.
